Tall trees was painted in my last Autumn living in PA. I didn’t want to miss the opportunity of painting an Autumnal scene while living in the USA. Besides the spectacular foliage it was the tall trees of PA that captivated me.

Walking around the gardens I found myself mesmerised by the height of the trees. During my time spent sketching and painting my eyes were drawn upwards and beyond. My mind travelled to the rain forest and scenes from the movie Jungle Book .

There was a feeling of a bigger world and being protected by the trees.
